Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself or something that would surprise us.

I’m Abin, 33 years old. I have lived in cypress for past 2 years now. I’m a very goofy, adventurous and spontaneous person and definitely an adrenaline junkie!! I enjoy traveling around the world and learning new cultures and trying weird foods!

I was born and raised in India (Delhi). When I was 25 I moved to Houston and have lived in different parts of Houston since then.

Something surprising about me is that I can speak 8 languages, and have been in the sales and marketing business for past 15 years now.

I’ve also have some surprising jobs. My first job ever I worked for Avon Beauty products as a sales consultant it was a game changer for me. I still can’t believe I took that job offer straight out of college.

Most Interesting Job was when I worked for Cadbury Chocolates.

I have earned a bachelor’s degree in Travel Management from University of Delhi. In addition, I have also earned several diplomas in Travel Management. I got to work with some amazing Fortune 500 companies as a travel consultant as well, so I know a little bit about world geography.

How and when were you introduced to Behemoth?

I was interested in CrossFit after hearing about it from my friend and watching her Videos online. Google search and Behemoth was the first gym that popped up and I started to read about Coach Aja. I liked what I saw and did some facts checking and bam, it was an instant sale after reading about the coaches and the gym. When I walked in the first time all I wanted to know was when I could start!

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally or both since beginning with us?

I’m really proud of my transformation not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. I’ve always liked the adrenaline rush I get out of it. I’ve learned a lot more about pushing myself when I thought I couldn’t do it. If I want to put a small example to explain it, I never liked running and couldn’t do it (that was my mind set) but now I can!

What has been your biggest, yet most rewarding obstacle to overcome, whether in the gym or on your health journey to date?

When I would see a weightlifter I always doubted that I could do it. After watching my first in house Oly meet at Behemoth and after talking to coach Aryan, I Changed my mindset and committed myself to it and joined the barbell program.

Why Behemoth?

Best GPP

Best programming

Best coaches

Awesome members

Last but not the least, I am grateful to meet many awesome members whom I can call friends now, and my brother from another mother, Rahul! We both are from Delhi! Since the time I have been in Houston I haven’t met anyone from my hometown so Behemoth definitely holds a special place in my heart in regards to that.

What next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future?

Next for me is to commit myself to Oly classes cause I love em!
