Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself or something that would surprise us.

K: I am a licensed veterinary technician (animal nurse), at aveterinary ophthalmology clinic. I’m from the Heights and have lived in theCypress area for almost 3 years. Erick and I have been married for almost 2years. We have lots of fur-babies and hope to add more when we buy someland. 

E: I am a Mechanical Engineer. I’m originally from Californiaand moved to Texas close to 20 years ago.

How and when were you introduced to Behemoth?

K/E: We joined Behemoth in January 2018. We wereinconsistently doing cardio at a crowded gym, bored and not really seeing anyresults. One day a CrossFit workout popped up on my social media so I askedErick if he would try it with me. A quick google search led me to Behemoth just5 minutes from our house! (still always late to class) It was just meant to be!

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally or both since beginning with us?

K: I’ve never thought I’d be as strong as I am today. Also, beinga part of Behemoth has gotten me around people more and I feel more comfortablebeing in groups! That’s something I’ve struggled with mentally most of my life.

E: Participating in the barbell class and seeing myimprovement

What has been your biggest, yet most rewarding obstacle to overcome, whether in the gym or on your health journey to date?

K: The biggest obstacle I’ve faced was not being aggressive andconfident when lifting. It’s still something I’m working on, but I’ve comealong way. I dislocated my knee about 10 years ago and working with Aja tostrengthen it has made a tremendous difference in my comfort and confidence.

E: My biggest obstacle to overcome has been weight loss.Progress has been very tough and slow but I am definitely seeing a difference

Why Behemoth?


What next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future?

K: I hope to try the barbell class in the future.

E: I look forward to continuing with the GPP class!

K/E: All of them at the same time!

-Favorite “application of fitness” outside of the gym is…

K: I’m very active at work- Mostdays I’m wrangling crazy bulldogs! I also love hiking though!

E: I enjoy playing basketball duringlunch with my co-workers
